Terms of use

1. Service

OnionSwap exchanges one cryptocurrency for another at the rate quoted on the order page, filling each swap from reserves we hold ourselves. We are not a custodian, a wallet or a broker, and we hold funds only for the duration of a swap.

2. No identity checks

We do not collect, request or verify identity documents, and we do not place holds on payouts for review. Since no partner exchange stands between you and your coins, there is no third party in a position to impose either.

3. Rates

Floating orders settle at the rate observed when the deposit confirms. Between quote and confirmation the market may move; that movement is carried by the order.

4. Addresses

You are responsible for the payout address you provide. Transactions are irreversible, and a payout sent to a valid address on the wrong chain cannot be recovered.

5. Deposits

Deposit addresses are single-use. Funds sent after an order expires, or sent a second time to the same address, may require a manual ticket and are not guaranteed.

6. Refunds

If an order cannot be filled, the deposit is returned to the refund address on the order page, minus the network fee of the returning chain.

7. Availability

Pairs may be paused during chain congestion, reorganisations or when a reserve runs low. Orders already funded are completed before a pair is taken offline.

8. Data

We ask for nothing beyond the addresses a swap requires. Order records are removed seven days after payout and are not shared, sold or aggregated.

9. Your jurisdiction

Whether you may use a non-custodial exchange is a question of local law, and answering it is your responsibility rather than ours.
